Two hurt in shooting at Clark County Fair

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – The Clark County sheriff says at least one person was shot at the Clark County Fair.

Multiple people had said the shots were fired around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Clark County Sheriff said two people were injured during the incident.

One person was shot in the leg and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Another person had a minor injury, either from a bullet ricocheting or being hurt while running away from the scene.

What led up to all of this is still unknown.

One viewer told WKYT a relative was working at the fair when he heard three gunshots. Afterward, the viewer said he helped people off a ride and told them to run to the woods.

The investigation is ongoing.

The fair will continue Wednesday evening. Gates will open at 5 p.m.
