Amanda Beatrice King, 41, of Elora, passed away Thursday, (March 4, 2021) at STRHS-Winchester. She was born September 29, 1979 in Winchester and was currently employed as a CNA at Donalson Care Center. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and being around her cats, dogs and horses. An avid “Roll Tide” fan, she also loved coloring and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Chicago Fire, General Hospital and Blue Bloods were among her favorite television programs. Amanda will be remembered for her outgoing personality, caring spirit and beautiful heart. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Beatrice Hammond; paternal grandfather, Charles Vernon King; and uncle, Jeffrey “Rufus” Hammond, Jr. She is survived by her parents, Charles and Elaine King of Elora; sister, Allison (Rusty) King of Elora; brothers, Clinton (Amber) King of Huntland and Jeffrey King of Winchester; nieces, Amy and Lou Lou; nephews, Colton, Colby, J. D., Austin, C. J. , Corbin and Gunner; uncles, Larry (Debbie) King of New Market, AL and James Roy (Betty) King of Bessemer, AL; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Joyce and Billy McDaniel; a host of cousins and other relatives; and her work family and patients at Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Mike Robertson officiating.
